BEFORE EVERYTHING CHANGES
Pregnancy is such a strange kind of waiting.
You know your baby is coming, but you don't yet know the sound of their cry. You haven't seen their little profile outside of an ultrasound or learned the weight of them asleep against your chest.
For now, they're still completely yours.
And while so much attention naturally turns toward the baby you're preparing to meet, I think the woman carrying them deserves to be remembered, too.
Your maternity session is a chance to pause in the middle of all that anticipation.
We'll photograph the curve of your belly and the beautiful ways your body has changed, but we'll also remember the way your partner reaches for you, the way an older child curls against the baby they haven't met yet, and what your family looked like right before everything changed.
As a mother myself, I know pregnancy can make you feel beautiful, vulnerable, powerful, uncomfortable, or somehow all of those things in the same afternoon.
You don't need to arrive feeling perfectly confident in your changing body.
I'll help with the wardrobe, location, light, movement, and gentle posing so you can stop wondering what you're supposed to do and simply be present in this season.
Because one day, your baby will know you as their mother.

Within four weeks of your session, you'll receive your finished online gallery with 55+ professionally edited, high-resolution photographs.
But your photographs don't have to live only on a screen.
I'll also help you turn your favorites into heirloom albums or framed artwork designed to live in your home and eventually become part of your family's history.
Complimentary album design is available, which means you don't have to find the time to design an album yourself while preparing for a new baby.

01 | BEFORE YOUR SESSION
We plan it all together.
Once your maternity session is reserved, we'll begin creating an experience that feels like you.
I'll help you choose a location based on the feeling you want for your photographs, whether that's a sun-filled San Antonio field, beautiful architecture, an intimate session at home, or a refined studio setting.
We'll also plan your wardrobe together. You'll receive styling guidance for the entire family and access to the LKP Client Closet, so you don't have to figure out how to dress a changing body on your own.
Not sure when to schedule your session? I'll help with that, too. Most maternity sessions take place between 28 and 34 weeks, depending on your pregnancy and comfort.
02 | DURING YOUR SESSION
You don't need to know how to pose.
I'll guide you throughout your session, from where to place your hands to the tiny adjustments that help you feel confident in front of the camera.
But your session won't be built around holding a pose and smiling at me for an hour.
We'll leave room for movement, laughter, quiet connection, and the interactions that already exist between the people you love.
Maternity sessions typically last 45 minutes to 1.5 hours and can include your partner, children, and even your pup.
You'll also have time for individual portraits that celebrate you and the incredible work your body is doing.
